Disclaimer: The amount your account would be compounded assumes you are are using a tax deferred type account like an IRA or a Roth IRA. You can do this in a regular account and in fact, I use non qualified accounts myself. The reason I use tax deferred in this example is for simplicity of illustration purposes.
